Specialist Exterior Cleaning

How is the work carried out?
MRUK utilises specialist techniques and cutting edge equipment to deliver effective and long lasting results. Our exterior cleaning system is a steam-based cleaning method that uses a ‘DOFF’ machine to clean stone, brick, concrete, metal and many other surfaces, delivering a gentle and non-abrasive process that’s ideal for delicate or sensitive materials. Using only high-temperature steam and gentle pressure, without any added chemical, we can clean and restore surfaces without damaging them, removing moss, algae, fungi, and many other biological or chemical contaminants.
Where can DOFF be used?
DOFF cleaning is used in many places, including the exterior and interior of homes, businesses, and in and around fire and smoke damaged buildings.
- At Home – In kitchens and toilets DOFF cleaning can easily remove grease, grime, and other substances. Doff cleaning can be used to treat fire damage or mould from brickwork and stonework, it can remove algae, moss, oil spills and other contaminants. DOFF cleaning can also be used to disinfect and clean swimming pools
- At Work – DOFF cleaning can remove dirt, grime, and other substances in Food Production, Hygiene Control, Factories, Transport & Vehicle Depots, and Workshops
- Listed buildings of special architectural or historic interest with legal protections
How does it work?
- The DOFF machine heats water to high temperatures, up to 150°C at the nozzle
- The machine uses low water pressure, around 3-5 litres per minute
- The low water pressure reduces the risk of damaging fragile materials
- The water doesn’t penetrate deeply into substrates, allowing materials to dry quickly
What can it be used for?
- Removing paint, graffiti, grime, algae and biological contaminants
- Removing bird and vermin droppings, grease and oil spills, and chewing gum from wood, brick, render, stone, and cladding
- Removing carbon staining from surfaces caused as a result of a fire or smoke incident
